The Mediterranean gastronomic offer, entrusted since 2009 to the guidance of the executive Chef Giuseppe Saccone (born in 1975 in Torre del Greco, a student of the master Gualtiero Mrchesi) is thus redefined in a perfect balance between innovation and tradition: Vesuvio Panoramic Restaurant – Gourmet Restaurant located on the fifth floor of the hotel, is a refined and romantic place with contemporary Campania cuisine, signed by Chef de Cuisine Nicola Celentano (a young chef from Massalubrense with experience in starred kitchens) Terrazza Mediterraneo – A bistro dedicated to traditional Italian specialties, with a touch of excellence, led by Chef de Cuisine Alessandro Bisconti.
• Aqua Pool Lounge – Grill bar with a wood-fired pizza oven by the pool
• Vista Sky Bar – Rooftop Oyster & Champagne bar with breathtaking views of the Gulf of Naples and refined musical entertainment; it is a club a la flute of Moet & Chandon.

Luxury hospitality between tradition and sustainability 2025 marks a further step in the sustainability path of the Hotel Mediterraneo, with the introduction of a new courtesy line entirely plastic free and made with 100% natural products in a fragrance created exclusively by Luce di Sorrento. This young local company specialized in natural cosmetics based on essential oils of lemons from the Sorrento Peninsula, will also support the luxury line by Maria Galland in the hotel’s SPA. The Hotel Mediterraneo has been committed for years to a path towards sustainability and the improvement of ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) parameters.
Regarding the environment, we can mention the processes of reducing waste and emissions, the path towards free plastic and the commitment to the use of less impactful technologies. As far as social issues are concerned, the hotel is constantly committed to promoting and enhancing the products, companies and human resources of the territory, and to encourage familiarization processes between tourists and citizens through the concept of an inclusive rather than exclusive hotel.
The governance of the Mediterranean is socially responsible, setting as its objective sustainable development achieved through well-defined and controlled processes. The enhancement of the territory also passes through prestigious collaborations: this year, the Hotel Mediterraneo will develop with Marinella, the historic Neapolitan Maison producing ties and other garments symbol of craftsmanship and timeless style, a personalized line of accessories.

At the Mediterraneo, the watchwords are luxury and hospitality. The modern design of the rooms marries the colors and materials typical of the area, to give life to an elegant and timeless style, which distinguishes the 55 rooms, the 4 Junior Suites and the 2 family suites, and which earned the hotel the “LIV Hospitality Design Awards” in 2021. A project created with the THDP architecture studio of the architect Manuela Mannino.
What makes the hotel unique and tells “a whole other story” as the claim says is a family atmosphere, “a sense of home” that has its roots in the centuries-old Sorrento tradition of hospitality and in the history of the hotel itself, which was founded in 1912 as the private home of “Grandma Etta”, Antonietta Lauro, sister of the famous shipowner Achille who did not hesitate to open the doors of his home to refugees from the north during the civil war.
