The Sanremo Music Festival 2026 will take place from February 24 to February 28, 2026, for a total of five consecutive nights, all broadcast live on national television on RAI 1.

Big Artists lineup
The list of the 30 Big artists competing was officially announced on November 30, 2025, live on TG1, Italy’s main news program.
The selection combines historic artists, well-established contemporary pop names, and representatives of the urban and indie scenes.
Among the participants are Tommaso Paradiso (former frontman of Thegiornalisti), Arisa, Fedez and Marco Masini performing as a duo, Leo Gassmann, Malika Ayane, Tredici Pietro, Ditonellapiaga, Nayt, Ermal Meta, Elettra Lamborghini, and many others.
The result is a lineup designed to span multiple generations and musical tastes, from classic Italian songwriting to electronic pop, rap, and trap.
Guests and performances outside the theatre
One of the most relevant updates for international audiences concerns the performances outside the Teatro Ariston.
For all five nights, Max Pezzali will be a fixed guest on a floating stage built aboard a cruise ship operated by Costa Crociere.
The ship will be anchored just off the coast of Sanremo, visible from the waterfront and connected live to the Festival broadcast.
This is not simply a scenic element: the ship becomes a second official stage, turning the Festival into a distributed event that involves both the city and the sea.
Pezzali will perform every night with a repertoire that has been extremely popular in Italy since the 1990s, creating an emotional bridge between different generations.

Sanremo’s television narrative does not end with the competition.
PrimaFestival, airing before each main show, will offer previews, guests, and backstage content, hosted by Ema Stokholma, Carolina Rey, and Manola Moslehi, well-known figures from Italian radio and television.
The DopoFestival, broadcast immediately after each night’s show, will be hosted by Nicola Savino. Here the tone becomes lighter and more conversational, with immediate analysis, artist reactions, and discussion of the most talked-about moments.
Newcomers
Alongside the Big artists, Sanremo maintains a section dedicated to emerging talent, known as Nuove Proposte.
Participants come from Sanremo Giovani, a preliminary competition designed to select new artists.
In 2026, performers such as Angelica Bove and Nicolò Filippucci will take the stage, offering a glimpse into the new Italian music scene.
Structure of the five nights
The Festival follows a well-established format.
The first night features all Big artists performing their new songs.
The second and third nights divide the Big artists into groups.
The fourth night is dedicated to cover songs and duets.
The fifth night is the final, with a SuperFinale and the announcement of the winner.
The cover night does not affect the final ranking, but it is one of the most watched evenings in terms of spectacle and guest appearances.
March: what happens after the Festival
The Festival officially ends on February 28.
However, in March two post-Festival television specials titled Sanremo Top, again hosted by Carlo Conti, are scheduled.
The episodes will air on March 7 and March 14, 2026.
All 30 Big artists will take part, divided into two groups of 15 per night.
These are not competitive shows: no votes are cast and the official ranking does not change. The specials are designed to comment on the success of the songs, their performance on radio and streaming platforms, and to symbolically close the Festival’s media narrative.

Il Festival di Sanremo 2026 si svolgerà dal 24 al 28 febbraio 2026, per un totale di cinque serate consecutive, tutte trasmesse in diretta televisiva nazionale RAI1.

Cast e lineup dei Big
La lista dei 30 Big in gara è stata annunciata ufficialmente il 30 novembre 2025 in diretta sul TG1, il principale telegiornale italiano.

Per tutte e cinque le serate, Max Pezzali sarà ospite fisso su un palco galleggiante allestito a bordo di una nave da crociera della compagnia Costa Crociere.
La nave sarà ormeggiata davanti alla costa di Sanremo, visibile dal lungomare e collegata in diretta televisiva con il Festival.
Non si tratta di una semplice scenografia: la nave diventa un secondo palcoscenico ufficiale, trasformando il Festival in un evento diffuso che coinvolge la città e il mare.
Pezzali si esibirà ogni sera con il suo repertorio, molto popolare in Italia dagli anni Novanta a oggi, creando un ponte emotivo tra generazioni diverse.
Programmi collegati: PrimaFestival e DopoFestival
Il racconto televisivo di Sanremo non si esaurisce con la gara.
Il PrimaFestival, trasmesso prima di ogni serata, offrirà anticipazioni, ospiti e backstage ed è affidato a Ema Stokholma, Carolina Rey e Manola Moslehi, volti noti della radio e della TV italiana.
Il DopoFestival, trasmesso subito dopo la fine delle serate, sarà condotto da Nicola Savino. Qui il tono diventa più leggero e commentato: analisi a caldo, reazioni degli artisti e discussione dei momenti più commentati.
Nuove Proposte
Accanto ai Big, Sanremo mantiene una sezione dedicata agli artisti emergenti, chiamata Nuove Proposte.
I partecipanti arrivano dal percorso di Sanremo Giovani, una competizione preliminare che seleziona nuovi talenti.
Nel 2026 saliranno sul palco, tra gli altri, Angelica Bove e Nicolò Filippucci, offrendo uno sguardo sulla nuova musica italiana.
Struttura delle cinque serate
Il Festival seguirà un formato ormai consolidato:
– prima serata con l’esibizione di tutti i Big
– seconda e terza serata con i Big divisi in gruppi
– quarta serata dedicata alle cover e ai duetti
– quinta serata finale con SuperFinale e proclamazione del vincitore
La serata delle cover non influisce sulla classifica finale, ma è uno dei momenti più seguiti per spettacolo e ospiti.
Marzo: cosa succede dopo il Festival
Il Festival termina ufficialmente il 28 febbraio.
Tuttavia, nel mese di marzo sono previsti due speciali televisivi post-Festival intitolati Sanremo Top”, condotti ancora da Carlo Conti.
Le puntate andranno in onda il 7 e il 14 marzo 2026. Parteciperanno tutti i 30 Big, divisi in due gruppi da 15 artisti per sera.
Non si tratta di nuove serate di gara: non vengono assegnati voti e non cambia la classifica. Gli speciali servono a commentare il successo delle canzoni, il loro andamento in radio e sulle piattaforme di streaming, e a chiudere simbolicamente il racconto mediatico del Festival.
Sanremo 2026 si presenta come un’edizione strutturata, accessibile e fortemente narrativa, pensata per un pubblico nazionale ma sempre più comprensibile anche a livello internazionale.
Cinque serate di gara, un cast multigenerazionale, un palco galleggiante su una nave da crociera e due speciali post-Festival rendono l’evento non solo una competizione musicale, ma un vero racconto televisivo che attraversa settimane di programmazione.
