Fondazione Madre addresses youth fragility with a structured approach. The general direction has been entrusted to Lorella Marcantoni, supported by a technical and scientific committee composed of professionals from the third sector. A significant percentage of young people in Italy neither study nor work, and the number of minors in juvenile detention facilities continues to rise. The first initiative is called Casa Ragazzi Madre. It will open in Zagarolo, near Rome, and will be able to host up to twenty five young people. Not a dormitory, but a home. A stable place for young individuals who are often invisible and without family or institutional reference points. It will offer not only shelter, but also education, professional orientation, and training programs, thanks to professionals who have chosen to offer their skills voluntarily.

Accanto alla casa di accoglienza prende forma anche “Ali tra le Corsie”, un progetto rivolto ai giovani che vivono situazioni particolarmente complesse nei reparti pediatrici e negli Istituti Penali per i Minorenni. Incontri, laboratori, momenti di confronto con artisti, sportivi e professionisti. Non passerelle, ma presenza. L’idea che anche un’ora possa avere peso, possa restituire dignità, ascolto, speranza.
Lauro ha ammesso che confrontarsi con la sofferenza non è semplice, ma ha scelto di farlo. E ora punta a coinvolgere altri colleghi, altre personalità del mondo dello spettacolo, sfruttando ogni spazio possibile per dare visibilità al progetto. Anche il palco di Sanremo potrebbe diventare un amplificatore, se ci sarà l’occasione.
Fondazione Madre non nasce come operazione d’immagine. È un progetto che mette insieme responsabilità sociale e visione culturale. È l’idea che il successo possa essere redistribuito sotto forma di opportunità.
